No Life Before Porter

This is a picture of our family taken in 1999. It sits in a frame on a shelf in Sheryl's front room. Yesterday Porter and I were in the front room and he was looking at the picture because he said Sam looked funny to him because he was young. So we start talking about the picture and he was telling me who everyone is ect. The baby in the picture is our neice Abby. But Porter thought it must be him. I told him no that was Abby and his face got all scrunched up and I thought he might cry. He said "this is our family and I dont get to be in the picture?" His Feelings were hurt so bad. I told him this picture was taken before he was born even before daddy and I were married, and he said no Papa Joe was holding him. He was crying now as I tried to convince him. All of us were laughing because it was funny, which I think made matters worse. Burk came in to see what was wrong and said (to console him) in the picture you were in Mommy's belly, and he started to calm down. But I had already told him the pic was before we were married and I didn't want him to be confused, or starting crazy rumors. So I said no you were in heaven still with heavenly father and he said Hysterically bawling now "So I still don't get to be in the picture of our family?" It was the weirdest and one of the funniest things ever. Sheryl had to literally go in the other room and get another picture with all three grand kids to put out there for him to stop crying. Even though as you can imagine, there are more pictures of Porter at Sheryl's house than anyone. Burk and I thought it would be funny to photoshop Porter into this picture. So if we ever get around to it I will post it so you can see it.

GOLF GURU

SO I REALLY WANTED TO GET A PIC OF PORTER FOR THIS BUT WE ALL KNOW IF I WAIT UNTIL I GET THE RIGHT PIC BLAH BLAH BLAH I NEVER WOULD ACTUALLY GET TO THIS POST.
YESTERDAY ON THE WAY HOME FROM SCHOOL PORTER AND I DROVE PAST THE GOLF COURSE. HE STARTED TELLING ME ALL ABOUT HOW HE COULDN'T WAIT UNTIL SUMMER CUZ HE WANTED TO GO GOLFING AND MINI GOLFING AND HIT SOME BUCKETS OF BALLS ON AND ON BECAUSE HE HAS "GOF FEVA" (SELF DIAGNOSED) AND I ASKED HIM IF HE MAY WANT TO TAKE GOLF LESSONS. HE SAID YES AND THEN WE DROVE IN SILENCE FOR A FEW SECONDS. AND THEN HE SAID "ACTUALLY YOU SHOULD TAKE LESSONS" I ASKED "WHY?" AND HE SAID SO I COULD GET MUCH BETTER. I SAID WHAT ABOUT YOU, AND HE SAID "I AM ALREADY MUCH BETTER". I LAUGHED.
MY GRANDPA DID ALWAYS SAY THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GOOD BALL PLAYER AND A BAD ONE IS, ONE OF THEM THINKS HE "CAN". I GUESS PORTER SHOULD HAVE IT IN THE BAG!!!

Cassanova.

Last night when I picked Porter up from day care he said "So, what brings you here?"
They had a Valentines Party at school and I guess all this ladys man stuff went to his head.
This kid keeps me in stitches I swear.
Sam and Porter have been "sharing" a girlfriend, but Sam left on his mission last week so he better watch out. Porter knows how to give Hillface the eyes. Plus Porter has a Batman Valentine for her.
Oh man, gone are the days when Porter would say "Mommy when I grow up I just want to be your wife"
Luckily, I have the best husband ever and am thankful for him on this Valentines day and everyday.

I know! I know!

So you are thinking she wanted "cutesy" and she went with baseball?
Lets face it, I am surrounded by boys. And with another on the way these are the only three people I really want to think I am cool!! :)

The wait is Over!!!

So its been awhile. I was so obsessed with having a "cute" blog and I couldnt figure out how to do it how I wanted so I had givin up. But I really love the idea of a blog. Everyday I say oh that was a blogger moment or, take a pic of that to blog about. But I had gotten in the habit of saying stuff to Burk about "our" blog. And he was like our blog or my blog? So I decided to give this another go and I guess I will just suck it up about the cuteness. I will leave my craftiness to my Heritage Maker Books.
