Preschool Graduation

Preschool Graduation or advancement for Porter who is only three (but don't tell him that) was on Friday May 22nd. Porter was so excited. He had been talking about Graduation Day since around October. Preschool started in September. It started with a flag ceremony and the pledge, then they sang a few songs, they each had a little speaking part from a poem, the presentation of the Graduates, and then some refreshments. His teacher, Mrs. Tonja made a little slide show with pictures of things they had done through the year set to music. I bawled. (damn this being hormonal and pregnant). It was a good day.

Porter first had his "fat pink pig" turned the wrong way but some lady on the front row told him to turn it around. Porter ans his cousin Aleksa.
She will be going to kindergarten but I am glad they got one year of preschool together first.

When Porter started daycare at Tonja's, Caleb had a bit of an identity crisis as his last name is Porter. He kept asking Tonja what Porter's first name was. Was it Ryan (his brother) or what? Tonja explained it to him a couple times and finally Caleb said "I guess we'll just call him Jeff". (his dad's name) But soon enough he figured it out and they have been good buddies ever since.
