Are you sure he's 4?

Last night as we were driving Porter said "Mom, can you pull over so I can go pee?" (this may have been a trick) So of course I pulled into the nearest place with a restroom Artic Circle. While we were sitting there eating Porter noticed a little family sitting kind of close to us that had two young boys. One of them was wearing a BYU shirt. Porter said Go Cougars! The dad looked over at us and I said, sorry he is excited to see your sons BYU shirt and he said oh yeah, and smiled. When they walked past us to leave Porter said "have you been following Austin Collie?" He and the Dad proceeded to have a very grown up football conversation they talked about touchdowns and the Superbowl. The Mom was blown away. She looked at me all stunned and said how old is he? I told her four and she said "no, he is four" and pointed to her boy who was picking his nose. (Not really, but it would sound funny if he was) I didn't bother to tell her that was nothin' she should hear his knowledge of baseball or even bowling. I was pretty proud. I love this kid!!! Who ever thought being surrounded by boys and sports could be so great?

Valentine fun at Mommy's work!

Today we went to the portrait studio and had a little fun. Well, fun for me that is. I got a little carried away and forgot Burk wanted to go to his dad's house and watch the game. (GO COLTS!) It was like an hour session. I filled 2 memory cards. But I had such a blast. Now the real problem, what to buy? I want them all but don't have the funds or the space to put them up in the house. So for now I guess I will just post a bunch so you, the reader, can enjoy them. Life is hard when you have kids this cute.

Friday night we went to dinner and bowling with our peeps!! It was pretty fun. We had an exceptional dinner and then on to Spare time. We had not planned to bowl so neither Burk or Jana had their equipment so we didn't get to see their "mad skills " (in fact I think Ian beet Burk) but they promised each other a show down when Burk had his own stuff and Jana is minus the bowling ball prego belly. All in all it was a pretty fun night and I love this picture of Porter and Ian (even though it is a crappy cell phone pic). They had such a blast. I really was wishing I had some video of them. Between shots they were dancing all around and showing us their moves. FUN TIMES, thanks guys.

New Moon

So I know I am like months behind everybody, but I just barely saw New Moon on Thursday. Although everyone else seemed to think it was a little slow, I really liked the second book and read it a few times. I am more of a Jacob type girl anyhow. The movie was a little cheesy but way ahead of Twilight. I am not a fan of the rotating camera work that these directors seem to love. It makes me want to vomit. I probably could have watched it on mute and paused a few scenes for a long while. I guess what I am saying is a shirtless Jacob was well worth my $8.50. I am psyched for Eclipse as my favorite part of the series is on the mountain when the trio is in the tent. I guess what makes it so addicting is that Bella has two great choices. Even though for me the choice is not so hard. She must not have seen his back, or chest clearly without his shirt. Someone call the vet, cuz those puppies are SICK!!! :)

I got served!!

Today on the way home from daycare Porter was telling me all about his day and what he learned. They talked about polar animals. He started telling me all the animals polar bear, penguin, walrus, puffins, "wait" I say "what is a puffin?" A bird Mom, and the polar fox............. I said "so there are polar foxes, I didn't know that". To which he disgustedly replied " you don' t know about puffins or polar foxes? You should read a book sometime".
